Respiratory Therapy Student PRN

About the role#

The Respiratory Therapy Student works under the direction of a Licensed Respiratory Therapist to assist with patient care and equipment management. This role supports the respiratory department by ensuring equipment is ready for use and assisting staff and physicians with procedures and daily tasks.

What you'll do#

• Perform patient care duties in accordance with state law.
• Assemble, maintain, clean, and calibrate respiratory care equipment.
• Monitor and restock medical gas cylinders and supplies in respiratory work areas.
• Retrieve equipment as needed and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Attend staff meetings and complete required training and education.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Maintain good standing within the enrolled program.
• Valid BLS / Healthcare provider certification.
• Proof of continuous enrollment in a CoARC-accredited program up until the official pinning ceremony.
