Project Engineer Internship

About the role#

As a Project Engineer Intern at Ausland Group, you will join an integrated team of architects, engineers, and construction managers. You will work on high-impact projects, moving from early design collaboration through to final project closeout. This role provides an opportunity to be mentored by industry leaders while gaining experience in a fully integrated design and construction environment.

What you'll do#

• Support all phases of project delivery, from initial design collaboration to final closeout.
• Work alongside architects, engineers, and construction managers within a fully integrated team.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure design intent is met during execution.
• Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and contracts for both design and build phases.
• Track financial project components, including budgets, change orders, and commitments.
• Assist with preconstruction tasks such as estimating, bidding, and scope development.
• Maintain and adjust project schedules by identifying critical path items.
• Support field teams with procurement and logistics.
• Utilize industry tools including Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Co-Pilot.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or completion of a degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Previous relevant work or internship experience.
• Ability to remain organized and calm under pressure while solving complex problems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on learning, growth, and professional development.
