The Student Programmer provides support to the Student Programming Team at Associated Students Inc., CSUF. This role involves assisting with the administration, planning, and execution of campus programs and events, as well as providing clerical and programmatic support.
What you'll do#
- Assist students and departments in planning, coordinating, and executing events.
- Serve as a moderator and event support staff for guest speaker events, including managing audience engagement and guest support.
- Monitor ASI events to ensure safety and mitigate risk.
- Facilitate student leadership training and development.
- Coordinate and communicate with vendors and campus partners regarding event arrangements.
- Maintain and publicize the calendar of student events and activities.
- Supervise camp participants while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
- Review financial paperwork and proposals while applying program policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Must be a currently enrolled California State University Fullerton student in good academic standing.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Marketing, or Public Health.
- Experience in event and programming is preferred.
- Experience in promotions or public relations is preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry loads between 5 and 35 lbs.
- Completion of required safety and compliance trainings, including Mandated Reporter, FERPA, and Title IX, as well as TB testing and Live Scan fingerprinting.
Location & details#
- Location: Fullerton, California.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time (20 hours per week) during business hours, with occasional evening and weekend event hours.
- Compensation: $16.90 per hour.
