Process Improvement / PLM Data Intern

About the role#

The Process Improvement / PLM Data Intern will support efforts to improve data quality, reporting, and visibility within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and related systems. This role involves organizing, cleaning, and analyzing product and formulation data while partnering with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory teams to strengthen how information is maintained across the business.

What you'll do#

• Review, clean, and standardize product, formulation, artwork, and documentation data within PLM systems.
• Identify missing, inconsistent, or duplicate data and perform corrective updates.
• Collect and organize data to build reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Conduct basic analysis to identify trends, gaps, and recurring data-quality issues, summarizing findings in charts and written updates.
• Document current workflows for product data management and identify opportunities to simplify or standardize processes.
• Support basic automation of manual or repetitive tasks using templates and spreadsheet-based tools.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience working with structured data through coursework, projects, or internships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and data quality.
• Preferred: Exposure to reporting and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau; basic familiarity with SQL or Python.
