Summer Intern (Cabinet Assembler)

About the role#

The Summer Production Intern will work alongside the production team to gain hands-on experience in cabinet manufacturing. This role is designed for students interested in developing practical skills in woodworking and manufacturing while learning industry best practices. This is a full-time, on-site position for the Summer 2026 term.

What you'll do#

• Assemble cabinet components and construct finished cabinetwork from rough schematics and blueprints.
• Operate power tools, cabinet presses, and other woodworking equipment, including hand tools such as chisels, files, and drills.
• Sand various materials, including wood and solid surfaces.
• Attach fittings and components to finished cabinetry while ensuring quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from sawdust and debris.
• Follow all health, safety, and quality control policies and procedures.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Construction, Cabinetmaking, Woodworking, or related program.
• Comfort working with a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing over 35lbs.
• Capacity to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills.

Location & details#

• Location: Ancaster, Ontario.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:45 pm.
• Environment: Manufacturing facility with loud noise levels; use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.
