The Summer Production Intern will work alongside the production team to gain hands-on experience in cabinet manufacturing. This role is designed for students interested in developing practical skills in woodworking and manufacturing while learning industry best practices. This is a full-time, on-site position for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Assemble cabinet components and construct finished cabinetwork from rough schematics and blueprints.
- Operate power tools, cabinet presses, and other woodworking equipment, including hand tools such as chisels, files, and drills.
- Sand various materials, including wood and solid surfaces.
- Attach fittings and components to finished cabinetry while ensuring quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from sawdust and debris.
- Follow all health, safety, and quality control policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Construction, Cabinetmaking, Woodworking, or related program.
- Comfort working with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing over 35lbs.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Ancaster, Ontario.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:45 pm.
- Environment: Manufacturing facility with loud noise levels; use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.
