The Office of Peace & Justice is seeking a part-time intern to support the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). This is a paid position requiring 10-15 hours of work per week over a 24-week period, running from September through May.
What you'll do#
- Assist the diocesan director in educating the community about poverty and Catholic Social Teaching (CST).
- Organize and staff events for youth and young adults.
- Promote the CCHD grant program and the annual collection.
- Manage social media presence to support anti-poverty initiatives.
- Identify potential organizations for funding and assist in the evaluation of grant applicants.
What you'll need#
- A commitment to social justice and an interest in anti-poverty work.
- Knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching.
- Experience with event organization and social media management.
- Academic background in fields such as Political Science, Sociology, Public Health, Communications, Philosophy, Business Administration, Human Resources, or Criminal Justice.
