    About the role#

    Amsive is seeking a motivated SEO Intern to join our organic search team. This internship provides hands-on experience in both traditional Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), also known as Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). You will support client projects while learning how search strategies are developed and implemented across traditional search engines and AI-powered search platforms.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with keyword and search intent research.
    • Review website content to identify on-page SEO improvements.
    • Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, and internal links.
    • Perform basic technical SEO checks, including identifying broken links, missing metadata, duplicate content, and crawl issues.
    • Review website performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms.
    • Support the team in reporting on organic search performance.
    • Research common user questions and search topics to improve content for AI-generated search experiences.
    • Learn how structured data helps search engines and AI systems interpret content.
    • Observe how client content appears in AI-powered search experiences such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot.
    • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and project discussions.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Journalism, or a related field.
    • Strong interest in digital marketing, search engines, and AI-powered search technology.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
    • A willingness to learn and ask questions.
    • Basic understanding of SEO concepts is a plus.
    • Basic proficiency with HTML is a plus.
    • Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems is a plus.

    • Location: New York, NY.
    • Work Modality: Hybrid (1 day in office per week).
    • Status: Paid, full-time internship.
