The APA Catalyst program offers professional development training and mentoring for individuals pursuing careers in behavioral health and professionals seeking to enhance their leadership skills. This internship focuses on program coordination and implementation to support the behavioral health workforce. Please note this is an administrative role and is not clinical or research-focused. This position is unpaid and is intended for course credit.
What you'll do#
- Provide logistical and administrative support for program coordination.
- Assist with the production and dissemination of promotional materials.
- Create surveys and collect data to support program improvement and implementation.
- Support general programmatic administration and grant management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- An interest in psychology, public health, health administration, sociology, communications, or a related behavioral health discipline.
- Availability to work up to 20 hours per week, primarily during Monday-Friday business hours with occasional weekend support.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
Location & details#
- Term: Fall 2026 (September through December).
- Modality: Fully remote. Interns must reside in a state that meets APA residency requirements. Remote work is not permitted from Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, U.S. Virgin Islands, Washington, or Wyoming.
