Strategic Sourcing Fall Co-Op

About the role#

The Strategic Sourcing Co-Op role provides hands-on experience within the Ameren Supply Chain team. This is a full-time, paid position running from August to December 2026. Interns are paired with a mentor to provide guidance, coaching, and feedback throughout the term. You will work on real business situations to exercise your analytical and negotiation skills.

What you'll do#

• Support sourcing processes, transformation initiatives, category management, and general supply chain activities.
• Develop should-cost financial and economic models and gather supplier and market intelligence.
• Assist in request for proposal (RFP) development and analysis.
• Collect data for demand planning and process improvements, or assist in inventory and material management.
• Execute a key project deliverable to be presented to Executives at the end of the program.
• Participate in Supply Chain Group meetings and contribute to team service goals.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment (graduate or undergraduate) in a business or technical program at an accredited university with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Preferred majors include Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Data Science.
• Preference for students who have completed coursework through the junior level with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Foundational knowledge of analytical and statistical problem-solving, along with financial accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and initiative skills.

• Work Modality: Hybrid.
• Term: Fall 2026 (August – December).
• Compensation: $19.00 – $29.00 per hour.
• A housing stipend is available for those who meet eligibility requirements regarding relocation distance.
