Alto is seeking a Data Analysis Intern for the Fall 2026 term to support the planning, coordination, and analysis of data related to public engagement initiatives. This role involves contributing to the collection and structuring of data from online surveys, interactive maps, and digital platforms to inform decision-making for a large-scale rail transportation project.
What you'll do#
- Help develop, structure, and publish survey questionnaires online.
- Monitor the performance of engagement activities, including participation rates, and produce dashboards.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analyses, such as demographic and geographic segmentation and thematic analysis.
- Ensure data quality by identifying inconsistencies, duplicates, gaps, or errors and proposing corrections.
- Document analytical methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
- Collaborate with communications, engagement, and strategy teams to maximize the value of collected data.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a university bachelor’s or master’s program in analytics, statistics, economics, business administration, or a related field.
- Practical or academic experience in data analysis.
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Familiarity with analytical tools such as advanced Excel, Power BI, R, or Python.
- Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
