Alice & Bob is seeking a Quantum Technical Business Development Intern to support strategic and operational initiatives within the North American team. This role focuses on bridging the gap between deep-tech innovation and market strategy. You will work alongside the business development lead to translate complex scientific concepts into actionable business insights, helping to define the company's competitive position in the quantum computing landscape.
What you'll do#
- Produce briefs, documents, and presentations on topics such as quantum computing architecture and performance standards for internal and external audiences.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive roadmaps to identify technical differentiators for Alice & Bob.
- Translate technical and scientific studies into compelling business narratives.
- Support business development activities, including market research, prospecting, and opportunity tracking.
- Assist with the preparation of sales and marketing materials for customer engagements and events.
- Participate in internal meetings, manage summaries, and track follow-up action items to ensure operational efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s or PhD program in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related scientific field.
- Foundational understanding of business development and quantum error correction.
- Ability to structure business cases and evaluate commercial or partnership opportunities.
- Proficiency in productivity tools, specifically Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate effectively in professional English.
- Proactive approach to navigating ambiguity and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
