Underwriting Analyst

About the role#

The Underwriting Analyst program is an early career opportunity designed to provide a foundation in the insurance industry. As an analyst, you will participate in a structured program that combines on-the-job experience with professional development to help launch your career in underwriting.

What you'll do#

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of AIG and the insurance industry.
• Participate in meaningful, hands-on work experiences.
• Attend instructor-led masterclasses to build technical and professional skills.
• Engage in mentoring circles and networking opportunities with colleagues and senior leaders.
• Participate in company-sponsored volunteer opportunities.

What you'll need#

• Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree to be received no later than June 2026.
• Demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Genuine enthusiasm for the insurance industry.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Communications, and Cybersecurity.

• Locations: Jeffersonville, Indiana and Scottsdale, Arizona.
• Term: Fall 2026 (Program start date: September 14, 2026).
• Work Modality: Full-time, on-site.
