Loan Officer Intern

About the role#

As a Loan Officer Intern, you will partner with agricultural lenders to develop skills in financial analysis, sales, business development, and customer relationship management. You will work alongside mentors who provide guidance and insight into the Farm Credit System and the financial products provided to rural America. This is a paid, full-time summer position.

What you'll do#

• Complete an intern development guide to gain industry knowledge regarding the Farm Credit System and company services.
• Collaborate with association employees on assignments focused on business development, financial analysis, and customer relationship management.
• Develop and present a final project to the executive management team at the end of the internship.
• Gain experience with full-time employee responsibilities and engage with senior leadership.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Agribusiness, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum completion of sophomore year of coursework.
• Strong organizational, technology, and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professionalism when working with team members and customers.
• Ability to participate in and lead teammates to achieve project objectives.

• Location: Georgia, United States.
• Term: Summer 2026 (mid-to-late May through July 31, 2026).
• Modality: On-site.
• Note: This position requires some travel. Students are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
