About the role#
AeroSpec, Inc. is seeking a mechanical engineering student for a year-round internship. This position offers hands-on training and experience in the automation machinery manufacturing industry. The role requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during school breaks.
What you'll do#
- Support the mechanical engineering team in designing custom automated equipment using SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to manage part lists and Bills of Materials.
- Complete various additional engineering tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a freshman or sophomore in a mechanical engineering program.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with ambiguous instructions.
- Capability to thrive in a challenging and changing environment.
- Interest in industrial automation or manufacturing and prior experience with engineering projects are considered a plus.
