Electrical Engineer Co-Op Fall '26

About the role#

Acutronic Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-Op for the Fall 2027 term. This full-time, on-site position in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by contributing to engineering tasks within the defense and space manufacturing industry. You will work closely with the engineering team to support multiple projects while ensuring technical designs meet cost, quality, and schedule requirements.

What you'll do#

• Perform engineering design, development, analysis, experimentation, and testing for assigned project portions.
• Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, and test results to ensure compliance with engineering standards and military specifications.
• Troubleshoot and isolate system-level issues identified during production or testing to determine root causes.
• Recommend near-term workarounds for design defects or production and supplier issues.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard technical techniques and procedures with minor adaptations as needed.

What you'll need#

• Completion of at least two years of study at an accredited college or university.
• Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering program with a minimum 3.0 GPA in engineering coursework.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills and a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with keen attention to detail and multi-tasking capabilities.
