Intern Software Engineering

About the role#

As an intern on the software engineering team, you will work within an Agile environment to assist in the design and development of Real-Time Payment Solutions. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn new technologies and contribute to the development of software solutions.

What you'll do#

• Participate in the design, development, testing, and delivery of software solutions.
• Create and review unit, integration, system, and QA test plans and scripts, execute tests, and analyze results.
• Research and resolve customer-reported problems.
• Adhere to corporate policies, including the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
• Comply with Risk Management program requirements, including identifying risks and performing control testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Completed 2-3 years of coursework in Computer Science or a related field, with an expected graduation date within 1-2 years.
• A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Knowledge of software development technology and methodology.
• Understanding of software development best practices, including source control, unit testing, and secure coding.
• Understanding of Agile software development.
• Coursework or experience with Java. Additional experience with JSON, GIT, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-based microservices (Spring Boot, VertX), UI development (AngularJS, ReactJS), Linux, Vagrant, or VMWare is a plus.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
