Virtual Student Success Coach - SY 26-27

About the role#

The Virtual Student Success Coach manages the onboarding, core interventions, and support services for students at Pathfinder Career Academy of Ohio. This role serves as the primary contact for new students and families, ensuring a strong start to the school year and ongoing support for student engagement, academic achievement, and behavioral goals. While this position is primarily remote, travel and in-person attendance are required several times per year for state testing and student events.

What you'll do#

• Support new and returning students and families through the onboarding process and completion of required tasks.
• Provide research-based strategies to help students and parents communicate effectively with teachers and administrators to ensure student goals are met.
• Facilitate individual and group support sessions and provide academic resources to improve student achievement.
• Collaborate with students regularly to monitor progress, keeping them accountable for their attendance, engagement, and academic performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding student performance, progress, needs, and academic support.
• Participate in the admissions counseling process, including transcript review and course selection assistance.
• Conduct conferences with parents and students as needed and coordinate with school leadership on re-enrollment activities.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social services, or a related field.
• Prior experience working as a teacher, tutor, counselor, or mentor to youth.
• Prior marketing experience, including social media, events, and communications.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Google Docs, MS Office Suite, email, and internet applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong data collection and analysis skills with the ability to manage confidential information.
• Ability to work well under pressure and effectively prioritize tasks.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.

• Location: Ohio (Must be a resident of Ohio).
• Work Modality: Remote (with required travel for in-person events).
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Compensation: $43,000.00–$48,000.00 annually.
