About the role#
This Systems Engineering Internship focuses on the integration and testing of complex air defense systems. You will work within our Integrated Systems Team to support radar, missile, and ground system programs. This role involves hardware-in-the-loop facilities, flight tests, and production system sell-off. You will contribute to test planning, system debugging, and performance analysis. This is an on-site position based in Andover or Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning, execution, and reporting for integration and verification tests regarding hardware, software, or flight tests.
- Update and maintain the Verification Cross Reference Matrix within the DOORS requirements database.
- Develop detailed integration and verification information sheets.
- Perform system or software regression testing and associated data analysis.
- Analyze data for radar hardware, software, or simulations using tools like MATLAB.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software anomalies to identify root causes and verify fixes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering (Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical).
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Ability to obtain an interim U.S. government Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Experience troubleshooting electronics issues through academics, hobbies, or previous internships.
- Data analysis experience using MATLAB.
- Preferred: Prior engineering internship experience, familiarity with test equipment like Oscilloscopes or Spectrum Analyzers, and knowledge of requirements management practices.
- Preferred: Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, JavaScript, or C/C++.
