About the role#
This is a full-time, paid co-op position based in Melbourne, Florida. You will support daily activities across Quality Engineering, Quality Inspection, Quality Assurance, and First Article Inspection teams within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role requires U.S. Person status.
What you'll do#
- Collect, organize, and analyze quality data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in First Article Inspection efforts, including documentation review, specification verification, and coordination with teams.
- Conduct process walk-throughs, documentation checks, and quality audits.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Collaborate with inspectors and manufacturing personnel to resolve nonconformances.
- Create, revise, and control quality documentation, such as work instructions and inspection reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and must be enrolled through the completion of the co-op session.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to manufacturing or lab environments is preferred.
- A basic understanding of quality concepts like First Article Inspection, nonconformance management, root-cause analysis, and process control is preferred.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, specifications, or measurement tools is preferred.
- Experience organizing data, creating reports, or supporting technical documentation is a plus.
- A basic understanding of programming concepts is helpful.
