About the role#
This Manufacturing Engineering Co-op position is based in Jamestown, North Dakota. The role is full-time and requires an on-site presence. We are looking for students to join us for the Winter or Summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Develop manufacturing plans for cargo system details and assemblies, covering machining, sheet metal fabrication, processing, painting, and mechanical assembly.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers while troubleshooting production issues and resolving process problems.
- Create Illustrated Standard Work Combination Sheets for cargo system assemblies.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement events to enhance production flow, standard work, cycle time, EHS, 5S, and point-of-use efficiency.
- Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by Manufacturing Engineers.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM major.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours prior to the start of the co-op.
- Basic experience with MS Office and CAD software.
- Relevant experience gained through coursework, research, projects, or on-the-job training.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person/Permanent Resident.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software such as NX, Catia, AutoCAD, or CREO is preferred.
- Experience with programming languages like C++ or Python is a plus.
- Prior internship or co-op experience is preferred.
